Anna Sandy-Elrod holds a B.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from the University of Memphis and an MFA in Poetry from Georgia State University. She is a PhD candidate in English at Georgia State University, where she has taught lower-division English since January 2016. She has served in multiple editorial roles, including three years as the Editor in Chief of New South Journal. She is a founder and current editor of the literary journal Birdcoat Quarterly and the small poetry press Ghost Peach Press.
