Anna Sandy-Elrod is a poet and essayist. She holds a BA in English-Creative Writing from the University of Memphis and an MFA in Poetry from Georgia State University. She is currently a PhD candidate in Poetry at Georgia State University, where she also teaches lower-division English. 


She was Poetry Editor of New South Journal from 2016-2017 and Editor-in-Chief of New South Journal from 2017-2020. She now serves as Editor in Chief of joint projects Birdcoat Quarterly and Ghost Peach Press


She lives in Amsterdam, Netherlands with her husband, a cat, and a tiny dog.
